Between the 5th - 7th July, Joshua Design Group took charge of the social media channels for Cornbury Festival in Oxford. The festival sat in the heart of Oxford’s Great Tew Park and is aimed at all-round family fun, providing a warm, vibrant atmosphere for all. Our brief was to capture the event and showcase the highlights of the festival across social media through high-quality video and photographic content.

Our key focus of the weekend was on content capture and providing on the pulse social media account management. The aim was to increase engagement on social channels, foster wider awareness of the festival, and to celebrate the sponsors of the event. A team of photographers and videographers took to the event covering all facets of the festival including; performances, entertainment, food and drink, behind the scenes, and lifestyle photography.

 Sponsor Awareness

Brands may have a natural synergy with summer music events, but ensuring that sponsors are getting a suitable ROI is key to every event partnership.

As part of our brief, our digital and production team set out to produce unique branded content for the lead event sponsors of Cornbury 2019, including Aperol Spritz and Barvaria 0.0%. These sponsors were integral to the festivals commercial activity and through leveraging the unique festival atmosphere during the event we could ensure that these sponsors received exposure and association that they wouldn’t have otherwise achieved.

By utilising Cornbury’s Facebook, and Instagram accounts combined for the week of the festival our social media management achieved some exciting results.

Our work with the festival helped push content to an increased audience of over 200,000 completely unique users across social media with 40,500 engagements over the weekend.

Detailed reporting with analytics broken down to cover total event exposure and individual sponsorship awareness helped identify ROI to sponsors and potential opportunities for future commercial partnership.
